My Classroom Mission
In order to inspire lifelong learners, I will ensure that students approach the North Carolina standard course of study and the IB Middle Years Program requirements through differentiated strategies that encourage autonomy.
About Me
I am a teacher of all trades. My background is in Special Education - Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders, but I also have certification in Academically/Intellectually Gifted, Middle School Language Arts, High School English, Middle School Social Studies, and High School History. I have taught everything from Kindergarten literacy to AP Psychology in a variety of settings including public and private schools.
Originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, I moved to North Carolina in the summer of 1999. I currently live in Mooresville with my husband Doug, step-son Traye, and daughter Cammie. When I'm not teaching, I love reading, doing needlepoint, and traveling.
