IB Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
This publication is available from IBO and synthesizes the fundamentals and principles of the IB programme to answer the question,
"What Is An IB Education?"
This International Mindedness presentation and activity was done with MM parents in February.
Below, please find some basic information about the MYP (Middle Years Program) at Mount Mourne School.
IB Criteria & Objectives: Each of the 8 subjects in the MYP has 4 objectives, along with criteria and rubrics. Some teachers make the IB rubrics task- specific, to show more specifics of how students can be successful on the assignment. As rubrics are used, they are made available to students, so they can see indicators of success.
